CONCERT PHOTOS: Hey Mama “bring it back home” at The Middle East Downstairs
After performing their “final shows” last year, Celia Woodsmith and Avi Salloway reunited Hey Mama for two more concerts. Billed as “Bring It Back Home”, Hey Mama performed at The Middle East Downstairs in Cambridge, MA on October 14th and at Nectar’s in Burlington, VT on October 15th.
Woodsmith is now part of all-woman bluegrass band Della Mae and Salloway is in gritty rock and roll band Billy Wylder. Della Mae’s debut album I Built This Heart was released on October 18th with album release parties planned at The Iron Horse in Northampton on October 23rd and Club Passim in Cambridge on October 27th.
The soundtrack in the photo slideshow is “Runnin’ Back To My Love” on Hey Mama’s last album The Dubl Handi Suite.
