Spectacle of Rock and Roll Awesome: LoudLion
April 16, 2010

I’ll never forget the first time I saw Bang Camaro — it was at Bleu’s farewell to Boston show shortly before he left town for Los Angeles back in June 2006. Around that time Bleu and some of his friends in (RIP) Bang Camaro had another project in the works: LoudLion — a supercharged rock and roll spectacle of awesome. Truly. The influences they note on the band’s MySpace page sum it up well: Mutt Lange, Def Leppard, Horror Movies, Foreigner, AC/DC and Supercharge.

Things seemed to be on slow percolation for LoudLion for a while, but now they’re making their way around social networking spots including Facebook and Twitter. Rock!

Get Out! Bleu wraps up his Spring East Coast tour
April 10, 2010
I don’t think Bleu can write a bad song. It was a sad day when he relocated away from Boston to Los Angeles a few years ago. (But fun to see him sing “I Won’t Go Hollywood” at the Paradise that night.)
Fortunately he gets back a few times a year and that includes tonight at TT The Bear’s Place in Central Square (Cambridge). He’s in town for the last show of his Spring East Coast tour with Scott Simons.
About tonight’s show (Saturday, April 10, 2010)
Get there early, this is a full night of good times including Boston bands Ad Frank & The Fast Easy Women and reunited Francine.
Where: TT The Bear’s Place, 10 Brookline Street, Cambridge, MA
Doors: open at 7:30pm; $11 | 18+
9:00-9:35 – Scott Simons
9:50-10:35 – Francine
10:50-11:35 – Ad Frank & the Fast Easy Women

Videos of Bleu from the CD release party for A Watched Pot
Maybe you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t seen Bleu before — it’s ok. It’s never too late to experience his awesomeness. Here are a few videos I shot at his CD release party for A Watched Pot — a joyous celebration regaining music held captive by his former record label. Watch more videos from the cd release party on Sooz TV at YouTube.

Exploit Boston! TV Episode #11: Bleu CD Release Party at TT The Bear’s Place
July 26, 2009
If you missed it, check out what I wrote about Bleu’s new album A Watched Pot that came out on July 14th. As part of a tour celebrating the release of the eleven gems of pop awesomeness, Bleu stopped in Boston to celebrate with his Boston fans who’ve been supporting him for many years before and after he relocated to Los Angeles in 2006.
Surrounded by fans and friends — a happy homecoming
Blue performed to a sold-out crowd and it was no surprise he was having a good time playing songs from an album that almost never saw a proper release thanks to a major label that held the songs hostage for many years after Bleu was dropped from Aware/Columbia Records.
Also joining Bleu that night were Peter Moore (singer from Count Zero), Air Traffic Controller (Bleu produced their upcoming CD) and Hooray for Earth.
